Hot Air Ballooning Hot Air Ballooning has been a quite new activity to Sri Lanka. The Hot Air Ballooning is done depending on the weather. The best season on flying is from the month of October to April, the season of light winds and less rain. All Hot Air Balloons are manufactured in UK and the Balloon Pilots are well trained by instructors licensed by the civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka. Throughout the flight, a well experienced ground crew follows the Balloon flight path in a Jeep, while they keep contacts with the Pilot on the Balloon.
